Roger Federer hits rock bottom in last 6½ years !!

Roger Federer, I don't think he needs any introduction, has slided to the lowest rank ever in his last 6½ years. That is, he is now at No.3 (his lowest rank since November, 2003) in the latest ATP ranking, which was released after Wimbledon. He lost the match against Tomáš Berdych(from 13th position he jumped to 8th position after his performance in Wimbledon) in quarter finals of the oldest tennis tournament in the world, that is Wimbledon and then from No.2 he slipped to No.3. Earlier in this year after French open he lost is No.1 position and Rafael Nadal took over his place on June 7th.

Federer was 1 week short of Pete Sampras record of being on top for 286 weeks. Rafael Nadal after winning Wimbledon, for the second time, is on No.1 and extends his points lead. Tomáš Berdych being the runner up of the tournament. The top 15 players according to latest ATP ranking for Men's single are (in that order),
